I found this rusted butcher's cleaver and thought it looked like a really good candidate for a restoration project. I'm really happy with how it turned out since this is my first try and any sort of knife making. I didn't like the original handle design, so I decided to remove the steel ring at the top of the handle and add a third brass rivet to fully secure my new custom made wooden scales instead. If you think you know what type of wood I made the scales / handle blanks out of, go ahead and guess what they are in the description. Thanks for watching!
